Takushin Kan Dojo (Japan) is headed by its founder Shirai Masaru
Shihan (10th Dan), who is also the vice-president of the International Sports Chanbara Association (ISCA). Currently
a retired aircraft engineer, Shirai sensei is also a high ranking teacher in Battodo, Kendo, Juken (bayonet fighting) and Iaido. Shirai sensei has over 20 years of experience in teaching Sports Chanbara. He specializes in Kihon dosa (basic and advance kata), Tanto (dagger), Kodachi (short sword), Choken (long sword), Yari (spear) and Nito (double sword). Shirai sensei travels regularly around Japan and overseas, conducting seminars and overseeing local and overseas tournaments. |
